Our Staff

Ms. Deb, our Founder and visionary who brought Roots Montessori from dream to a reality, holds her Masters in Social Work from University of Michigan.  After years of counseling children and families, and looking for a learning environment for her own family, she and her husband Mark started Roots Montessori.  The dream of a learning environment where kids can love learning, nurture their curiosity and foster their independence led her to create Roots Montessori.  When she's not busy supporting the leaders of Roots, she spends time caring for her family, spending time outdoors, reading and playing Mahjong.
