Roots welcomes your application for admission
We want every student at Roots to be successful; to ensure a good match between applicants, their families and our school's programs and philosophies, we attempt to get to know you and your child in several ways throughout the admissions process.
Step 1: Inquire
Take a few moments to reach out to us with your questions and get some additional information about Roots and what makes Roots Montessori unique.
Step 2: Visit
The best way to understand the value of a Montessori education is to experience our programs and our faculty first hand. Families are invited to visit our school for a tour during the school day or for any of the admission open houses or events.
Step 3: submit an Application for Admission
Roots is a rolling enrollment school, so there is no cutoff date for applications. Applications can be submitted at any time and will be considered as long as space is available. However, for greatest consideration, please review the recommended application dates below:
Legacy Applications (siblings of current students and staff dependents) - Due by December 1st
Early Childhood Applications - Due by December 31st
Elementary Applications - Due by January 31st
Financial Assistance Applications - Due by January 15
For those interested, learn more about our Financial Assistance program.
Step 4: spend the day with us
For our Early Childhood Applicants:
You and your child will be invited to attend a Meet & Greet Session with one of our Early Childhood Teachers*. This will allow us to work with your child on some activities and answer questions parents may have about their child's readiness for the program.
*please note that due to the large number of applications and limited number of spaces available, not all applicants will be invited into a Meet & Greet session. This is a decision based on date of application and legacy applicants.
For our Elementary and Middle School Applicants:
Upon completion of the above steps, you child will be invited to experience a day as a Roots student. This will allow us to get to know your child better and for you to assess if Roots feels like a good fit for your family.
Step 5: Enrollment
After completing the above steps, our Admissions Committee will make a decision regarding whether Roots could be a good fit to serve your student well. *
*Roots Montessori does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religious beliefs (creed), sex, gender, gender expression, sexual orientation, age, national origin (ancestry), disability or handicap, citizenship status, marital status, or military status in any of its Admission, Educational, Financial Assistance or Employment decisions. This non-discrimination applies to staff, students and their families. We are committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for our staff, students and families.
To enroll your child, you must return the Enrollment Contract with a non-refundable deposit of $500.
